Bio/About

German born, Bournemouth & Poole Art College graduate. Moved to London in 1993 and established himself as freelance photographer for the music  and fashion industry
(i-D magazine, Ninja Tune records).

Since then he has worked on numerous editorial assignments, advertising campaigns for global brands, book publications, music artwork, etc..
Martin's ability to extract the essence of a given situation results in intriguing images that endure well beyond the first encounter of his work.
His self-initiated and commercial work has been exhibited since 1999 in renown institutions such as The Association of Photographers (GBR), Mannheimer Kunstverein(DEU)
and Ringcube Gallery (JPN).
In 2007 he relocated to Tokyo and continues to be involved in projects that focus on portraiture, architecture and urban environments.
